It is the pet owner’s responsibility to maintain their dog’s skin and coat in between professional grooming appointments.  Your pet’s health and comfort is our number one priority at Sunshine Dog Spa.  We will do our best to safely and humanely de-matt your dog’s coat as long we feel that it will not cause harm physically, or mentally to your animal.  During a de-matt process, underlying conditions may be revealed that need vet attention.  Your pet also has an increased chance towards skin irritation, clipper burn, nicks and abrasions.  Sunshine Dog Spa and its employees cannot be held responsible for injuries sustained during the de-matting process.  We will inform you of all conditions we find.  Our employees would love to educate on effective tools and techniques to use to avoid matting between grooming appointments.
